People For the American Way today released the first in a series of web videos showing extremist right-wing candidates in their own words.

The video, Ken Buck in His Own Words shows Colorado Senate candidate Ken Buck’s extremism on issues including abortion rights, gay rights, and social safety net programs. It can be viewed at www.pfaw.org/buck.

“Ken Buck is one of the most extreme of the many extremist candidates running for Congress this year,” said Michael B. Keegan, President of People For the American Way, “He says he wants to abolish the Department of Education and privatize the Centers for Disease Control. He wants to make abortion a crime, with no exceptions. And he’s said that homosexuality is a lot like alcoholism. His own words say it all. Ken Buck would be bad for Colorado, and bad for the Senate.”
