Washington, DC— Following Tuesday’s filing of cloture on Myrna Pérez, nominee to the Second Circuit, and Tana Lin, nominee to the Western District of Washington, in addition to today’s hearing on the nomination of Holly Thomas to the Ninth Circuit, People For President Ben Jealous released the following statement:

“This week’s Senate actions advancing the nominations of Myrna Pérez, Tana Lin and Holly Thomas serve as the latest reminder of the Biden Administration’s commitment to improving our federal court system with confirmations of fair-minded, justice-driven individuals. All three of these women are exceptionally well-qualified, with years of experience in the American judicial system as lawyers, advocates, and jurists. At a time when the freedom to vote remains at risk for millions of Americans, it is reassuring that these nominees exhibit exemplary records in fighting for equality and justice in our democracy. We urge the prompt confirmation of Myrna Pérez to the Second Circuit, Tana Lin to the Western District of Washington and Holly Thomas to the Ninth Circuit.”
