“President Biden’s executive actions to help reverse the damage created by a legacy of racial injustice are a step toward ending the systemic racism that has punished millions of Americans for nothing more than the color of their skin. For generations, racism has been at the root of federal, state, and local policies that created barriers to financial stability, access to health care and housing, and equal justice under the law. Advancing racial equity is a step toward ending systemic racism. America can be a nation rooted in fairness, equal treatment, and opportunity for all, and these steps by the Biden administration are actions we should all embrace.”
