Washington, D.C. – Following today’s vote in the Senate to advance the nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the D.C. Circuit court, People For the American Way President Ben Jealous released the following statement:

Judge Jackson is a brilliant jurist who will be an outstanding addition to the federal appellate bench. Her past work as a public defender further deepens and informs her understanding of our justice system and its effects on real people. We look forward to her speedy confirmation.”
