WASHINGTON, D.C.— In advance of House testimony tomorrow by Rick Bright, the ousted head of HHS’s Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, PFAW Executive Vice President for Policy and Program Marge Baker released the following statement:

“While the Trump administration tries to silence the voices of government experts and pretend that the coronavirus pandemic is effectively over, we are hearing a very different story from those who are testifying on Capitol Hill. Tomorrow we will hear from Rick Bright, a whistleblower who is brave enough to come forward even though this president is notorious for threatening and intimidating whistleblowers. Bright was demoted because he couldn’t accept Trump’s insistence on promoting unproven and dangerous drugs. Tomorrow he will likely continue to raise the alarm about this administration’s corrupt and misguided approach to the pandemic, and the American people will be listening. We applaud Rick Bright for speaking out.”
