Washington, DC – Given the historically close presidential election and Ohio’s history of voting machine irregularities, People For the American Way is calling on the Justice Department to closely monitor the output of voting machines in Ohio on Nov. 6.
"We expect the Justice Department to pay attention to all situations where voting irregularities may occur, and this is no exception," said Michael Keegan, President of People For the American Way. "We hope and expectthat these machines will not pose a problem, but also expect that the Justice Department will stay on top of this issue to insure that every vote in Ohio counts."
