“For four days, reality-show actor Donald Trump and his party offered up an alternate reality at the Republican National Convention. We saw the Trump campaign playbook on full display: double down on stoking racist fears while claiming triumphs over COVID and on the economy that simply don’t exist. This should alarm all of us, because Trump and his Republicans are prepared to do and say anything if they think it will prevent them from losing this fall. Not only do we have to get out and vote, we have to be prepared to fight for the integrity of this election and keep fighting until every last vote is counted, no matter how long it takes.”
