WASHINGTON, D.C.— As President Trump staged a celebratory announcement at the White House today taking note of all the federal judges he has appointed, People For the American Way is noting the real harm these judges’ rulings are inflicting on people. Harm to women’s rights, to discrimination protections and to consumers’ rights are discussed in a new commentary piece here. “President Trump’s crowing over his judicial appointments takes no heed, as usual, of the damage these judicial appointees are doing. These judges have made unconscionable rulings upholding age discrimination and racial discrimination, denied health benefits to sick workers and ruled to eliminate women’s access to vital health care. Voters — who last night showed us in Virginia and Kentucky that they are fed up with Trump and his agenda — will certainly remember Trump was responsible for getting so many terrible judges confirmed when they see his name on the ballot next November.”
