The Progressive Happy Hour: Environmental Justice (and a Baking Scandal)

As the country is still reeling from disasterous storms, the Trump administration continues to stake out harmful positions on environmental issues that shape many communities’ quality of life.

In the November 3 episode of “The Progressive Happy Hour,” hosts Christin “Cici” Battle and Drew Courtney talk with Green For All policy director Kerene Tayloe to help make sense of Trump’s attacks on the environment and learn about the growing movement for environmental justice.

“People of color and low-income communities are the first and worst impacted by these environmental issues,” Kerene explained. “They say it all the time: if you aren’t seated at the table, you will be on the menu. And so our movement, our work is to make sure that those communities can be present and say what their needs are and say ‘yea’ or ‘nay’ to a decision.”

Also on the podcast, Drew fills us in on the Great British Bake Off scandal.
