People For the American Way’s Next Up Victory Fund Endorses Young Progressive Champions in Last Minute Surge of Momentum
People For the American Way’s Next Up Victory Fund today announced its endorsement of Sara Innamorato for Pennsylvania House of Representatives District 21 and Malcolm Kenyatta for Pennsylvania House of Representatives District 181. Previously, PFAW endorsed Summer Lee for Pennsylvania State House District 34.
PFAW Political Director Lizet Ocampo issued the following statement:
“The Next Up Victory Fund is working to build a strong progressive bench of young Democrats who will go on to lead our country. Sara and Malcolm are exactly the kind of passionate advocates we look for, and we are proud to endorse them today.
“Sara Innamorato is bringing new energy and a powerful vision for her community to Harrisburg. It’s clear that Sara would be a champion for improving healthcare, challenging economic inequality and ensuring that housing is treated as a human right. She’s a strong supporter of quality public education and is ready to take on the influence of big money in Pennsylvania politics.
“Malcolm Kenyatta is the strategic progressive voice Pennsylvania needs. From a young age, he has dedicated himself to tackling the biggest challenges his community faces — from systemic poverty, affordable education and political accountability.
