“Now more than ever, California and our nation need Speaker Pelosi’s leadership, experience and commitment to democratic values in Congress. Speaker Pelosi led the Blue Wave that, critically, returned the House to Democratic control in 2018, providing the first real check on Donald Trump. She has brought about the passage of hundreds of bills that benefit the American people, including the landmark Affordable Care Act; the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act; the repeal of the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy in our military; Wall Street reform, and many more. She also has engineered House passage of numerous, critical measures — like the For the People Act — that Mitch McConnell unfortunately has refused to take up in the Senate. Her leadership in holding Donald Trump accountable for betraying his oath of office ensures he will go down in history as only the third U.S. president to be impeached. There is no question that Speaker Pelosi deserves to return to the House this year and is the right choice in the primary on March 3.”
