On September 9, People For members were joined by People For co-founder Norman Lear, People For Board Member Dolores Huerta, Courage California Executive Director Irene Kao, People For President Ben Jealous, and People For Deputy Director of Leadership Programs Markus Batchelor for an important briefing on the California recall election.

The conversation covered how California finds itself in this strange and worrisome position and what People For members nationwide can do in the homestretch of this election to get out the vote against the recall and keep Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom in office. Closing on the speakers’ passionate pleas to get out the vote to say NO to the recall, attendees ended the call fired up and eager to pitch in during these final days of the election, right up until polls close at 8 PM PT on Tuesday, September 14!
