Washington D.C./BALTIMORE, MD – Today, on the first day of early voting in the Maryland Primary Election, People For the American Way announced a five-figure, radio ad campaign on top urban, adult contemporary, news talk and gospel stations along the Baltimore/Washington corridor to support the re-election of incumbent Mayor Brandon Scott.
The new :60 radio ad, titled “Future Choice,” highlights Mayor Scott’s historic record as Baltimore’s youngest mayor in more than a century. Since his election in 2020, Mayor Scott has fought tirelessly to reduce violent crime and invest in families, often in the face of racist and political attacks.
The ad begins airing today and is scheduled to run on five stations – WERQ- FM (92Q), WWIN-FM (Magic 95.9), WLIF-FM (“Today’s 101.9”); WCAO-AM (“Heaven 600”), WBAL-AM NewsRadio, and Urban One’s WOLB-AM – through Maryland’s Primary Election Day on May 14. Early voting for the presidential primary election in Maryland is available between May 2 and May 9.

The radio ad follows the latest of three Baltimore City mayoral debates between four candidates, including Sheila Dixon, former Baltimore mayor who was convicted for embezzlement in 2010, and forced to resign as part of a plea deal in a corruption case.
