WASHINGTON, D.C.— As the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on the Russia probe today, and scheduled business related to subpoenas on the Russia probe and a vote on a far right judicial nominee for a powerful appellate court tomorrow, PFAW Executive Vice President for Policy and Program Marge Baker released the following statement:

“Senate Republicans’ misplaced priorities are on full and tragic display this week. Under Lindsey Graham, the Judiciary Committee is spending time once again trying to discredit the Russia investigation and advancing the nomination of an extreme anti-health care judicial nominee, Justin Walker. They are doing this instead of addressing the crisis gripping the nation following the murder of George Floyd and the spread of a pandemic that is ravaging communities, especially communities of color. This is shameful, and Americans who are suffering today will remember the callousness of these Republicans in November.”
