WASHINGTON, D.C. — Following today’s announcement that the William Barr-led Department of Justice will drop its prosecution of former Trump National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, PFAW Executive Vice President for Policy and Program Marge Baker released the following statement:

“The Attorney General’s abject surrender of his department to the Trump agenda has been complete for some time, but even so this decision is stunning. Michael Flynn admitted his own guilt, but even that was not enough to stop Trump and his cronies from doing everything in their power to discredit his prosecution and the entire Russia probe. There seems to be no end to the destruction Trump will cause to our justice system. Will any Republican in Congress finally stand up and say, enough is enough? We’re still waiting.”
